In her address at the 43rd Sir Winston Scott Memorial Lecture, Dr. Carissa Etienne, Director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), made a passionate argument for “Health for All”, and asserted the importance of innovation in healthcare reform.
The Dominican-born Etienne affirmed the importance of utilising technology to improve healthcare, but also warned that not all purported technological advances add value.
