The 2024 Balance of Payments survey opens today, March 10, 2025, and will run until May 9, 2025. The survey, which the Central Bank of Barbados issues annually, captures information on transactions between residents of Barbados and external parties.
"Last year's survey had a tremendous 91 percent response rate, and we hope to achieve that again this year," revealed Anton Belgrave, Director of Research and Economic Analysis at the Bank. "The information we receive from the survey is used to shape economic policy, so the more entities that respond, the more data driven these crucial decisions will be.”
Belgrave added that the Bank is prepared to assist any entities that need guidance on the survey. “The forms include contact information for trained officers who are ready and willing to help respondents fill out the form. We encourage those businesses and other organisations that receive the survey to take advantage of this assistance if need be, complete the survey, and provide us with this critical information.”
