Hundreds of Barbadians assembled at Church Village Green in Bridgetown on Sunday, May 9 to take part in the Central Bank of Barbados’ 5K Fun Run and Walk. The event, which was held in support of the Barbados Alzheimer’s Association, was part of the CBB’ 45th anniversary celebrations.
Reynold Walters was the first to cross the finish line, completing the 5K run in 20 minutes and 51 seconds, while the first female runner was Sonia Adamson, who clocked 25.20.
Among the walkers, Anderson Maughn was the first man to finish, while Cyrilene Graham was the first woman.
Deneisha Forde was the first child under 12 to complete the race.
