Noted economist Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs delivers the 37th Adlith Brown Memorial Lecture under the theme “Macroeconomic Management in an Era of Polycrises.”
Professor Sachs, who is the Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development at Columbia University; President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network; and Co-Chair of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition, will speak on how countries across the Caribbean and beyond can navigate the multiple challenges, among them climate change, geopolitical tensions, ageing populations, and persistent high debt levels, that they are facing simultaneously.
The lecture is a featured event at the 55th Annual Monetary Studies Conference, which is hosted jointly by the Central Bank of Barbados and the Caribbean Economic Research Team (CERT).
