This video is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and engage in fraudulent activity. We strongly urge individuals to disregard this content, refrain from engaging with it, and avoid sharing any personal or financial information.
The Central Bank takes this matter seriously and is working with the relevant authorities, including local law enforcement and cybercrime units, to investigate the source and ensure swift action is taken.
We remind the public that all official statements and financial guidance from the Central Bank are issued only through authorized platforms and official accounts. Any unsolicited messages, especially those involving monetary offers or investments, should be treated with extreme caution.
Members of the public who have received or engaged with the video are encouraged to report it to the Barbados Police Service’s Cybercrime Unit or to contact the Central Bank’s Corporate Communications Unit directly.
