The Central Bank of Barbados’ 2024 summer internship programme is underway with 26 tertiary level students from diverse academic backgrounds, who will gain invaluable experience, learn from seasoned professionals, and be exposed to networking opportunities while working for three months in departments related to their fields of study.
“We are delighted to host this group of talented individuals in our summer internship programme,” said Novaline Brewster, Director, Communications, Information, and Outreach at the Bank. “This is a great opportunity for these aspiring professionals to experience the world of work and receive the support and guidance they need to succeed and excel in their working lives.”
Ché Hoyte, a computer science student at the University of The West Indies, Cave Hill, expressed his eagerness for the experience, and his excitement to work at the Bank. “I’m looking forward to an opportunity that is both challenging and educational alongside personnel who allow me to learn and grow as an I.T. or digital transformation professional.”
During their internship, the interns will also attend training courses, seminars, and team building exercises, allowing them to refine their technical skills, experience real-world projects, and gain corporate knowledge.
